Description: A colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid, which turns brown or deep red when exposed to sunlight or air.

This product is mainly used in the production of furan resins, furfuryl alcohol-urea resins, and phenolic resins with different performances. It is also used as a preservative resin, or pharmaceutical raw material, for the preparation of tartaric acid, solvents, and plasticizers. Plasticizers made from it exhibit better cold resistance than esters of butanol and octanol. It is an excellent solvent for furan resins, varnishes, and pigments, and can be used as rocket fuel. It can be used in the synthesis of fibers, rubber, pesticides, and in the foundry industry.
